We recommend having some up-tempo songs playing as you pack. If these tunes can keep you energized at the gym, then they will be perfect as packing music. Some people even use pop songs to measure time, which also helps them pace their packing.

Leave the Clothes in the Dresser

If you keep your clothes in a dresser, consider leaving the clothes in there instead of packing the clothes separately. In addition to saving space in the truck, it also makes it easier not having to put everything back at the new place. Set Aside a Box for Essentials

Having an “essentials box” can be a lifesaver especially if you’re doing a cross-country move. Have a box or a piece of luggage that contains essentials: a few days’ worth of outfits, footwear, toiletries, IDs and documents, medication and laptop. These are basically all the things you will need to have quick access to while you get everything else unpacked at your new home.
