If you decide to tip in cash, however, a rule of thumb you should follow is that you should tip your movers 5% to 10% of the total service charge.

On the other hand, if you aren’t comfortable giving cash as tips, or you’re short on cash after paying for their services, there other ways you can tip your movers. For instance, you can give them some refreshments, such as sandwiches and cold drinks, if they helped you move during a hot day. Alternatively, if the move lasted long until dinner time, you could also provide them with a simple meal like pizza as thanks for their service.
