Ryan Murphy
President
Ryan Murphy has proudly called Virginia home since transplanting here in the early 1990s. Driven by a commitment to serve his country, Ryan joined the Army as a helicopter pilot, completing tours of duty in Iraq and twice in Afghanistan. He continued his service in Military Intelligence before retiring from the US Army after a distinguished 20-year career that taught him the value of precision, leadership, and adapting to changing conditions- skills that translate perfectly to running a successful moving company.
Seeking to continue making an impact and serving his community in civilian life, Ryan was drawn to small business ownership, where he could directly influence customer experiences and build a company culture based on the same values of integrity and excellence that defined his military career. When not at the helm of Around Town Movers, Ryan cherishes time with his beautiful wife and four children, as well as his faithful canine companions Poppy and Daisy. Both family and dogs can often be found at the office- a testament to the family-oriented business environment Ryan has cultivated, where clients aren’t just customers, but neighbors whose transitions to new homes merit the same care and attention he would give his own family’s move.
Wayne Brown
General Manager
Born and raised in Tennessee, Wayne served as a combat medic in the Gulf War—where he mastered working fast under pressure. After the Army, he spent 15 years managing over 25,000 global relocations in the corporate world before joining Campbell Moving in 2013 as Vice President. Now our General Manager, Wayne brings over 25 years of industry experience to every move.
Scott Loving
Relocation Consultant
Scott grew up in Northern Virginia but learned the moving ropes in New York City, where he mastered tight staircases, double-parking, and surviving 4th floor walk-ups. After years in the NYC grind, he returned home and joined Around Town Movers in 2020 as a relocation consultant—bringing experience, empathy, and a slightly worn-out lower back.
Erika Morales
General Manager
Erika joined Around Town Movers in 2015, starting with packing jobs (and rescuing the occasional lost sock). Since then, she’s done it all—warehouse work, sales, accounting, and now office manager, where she’s known for finding missing paperwork in record time. To Erika, ATM is more than a job—it’s family. She brings the same care to our team as she does to her role as a proud mom of two and soon-to-be grandma.
Rob Lowenbach
Relocation Consultant
Born and raised in Leesburg, Rob started his career in mortgages back in 1982. After decades helping families into new homes, he now does the same in a new way as a Relocation Consultant with Around Town Movers. Off the job, Rob’s usually on the golf course, perfecting his swing and his colorful excuses for missed putts.
Mark Martin
Operations Manager
After a 37-year career in Federal Contracting, Mark joined Around Town Movers in 2019, trading paperwork for hands-on work and a more personal impact. Though originally from Ohio, he’s called Northern Virginia home since age 3 and brings invaluable local knowledge to every move—especially when navigating DMV traffic. Outside of work, Mark enjoys fishing, hiking, and keeping his car spotless.
