How It Works
Your next long-distance move begins with a call to Around Town Movers. For smaller moves, we may be able to provide you with a general cost estimate over the phone but generally it is best that you schedule a free no-pressure, no-obligation in-home moving consultation so we can determine your specific moving needs and requirements.
Your Long-Distance Around Town Move includes all of your interstate moving needs for one affordable price: movers, trucks, fuel, cloth furniture moving pads and equipment, loading, driving and unloading. Everything is included! Unlike larger moving companies and van lines, we specialize in providing direct service to your new home. With Around Town Movers, you don’t have to wait for other families to move to get your shipment delivered right away.
Once you engage Around Town Movers to handle your long-distance relocation, your Around Town Movers will arrive at your home at the agreed-upon date and time. Your long-distance Around Town Move includes home protect to protect the floors, door jambs and walls and both your former and new residence. If you have requested full or partial packing, our team will complete packing first and perform an itemized inventory of your shipment. Our moving team will disassemble any furniture items and begin loading. While in our care, all of your wood furniture will be protected with cloth furniture moving pads. Your upholstered furniture will be protected with either brown paper padding or cloth furniture moving pads and shrink wrap. We also provide vinyl mattress bags included with each Around Town Move, included free of charge. Once things are ready to move, we load the truck. Once the truck is loaded, the driver will verify your new address, collect any last-minute instructions and confirm the delivery date and time. You can travel leisurely, without the hassle or worry of obtaining, loading, driving or unloading your own truck. At your new residence, we will unload, place, set up and reassemble everything right where you want it and remove any moving debris.

A Property Carrier Permit is required to move 31 miles or less in Virginia. We operate under Property Carrier Permit 4411. A Household Goods Carrier Permit is required for moves over 31 miles within Virginia. We operate under Household Goods Carrier Permit HG-523.
